Through the years I have often complained about men in the Lord’s church who seem to have all the answers to everything, mostly after the fact, and often have very little room for love and grace in their dealings with others.Today I was lovingly shown that I was quickly becoming one of those people. And, for being exposed to that fact, I am thankful.
When I started this website, my intention was to provide scriptural lessons based on stories or examples from the Bible and/or from situations that I experience or someone writes to me about.I am proud of work that has been done here but there have been times when, over the last 5 months, that, regardless of my intent, I have done harm to some in the congregation I attend and even to the church itself on the whole by my attitude, inferences and approach. When writing articles that promote Christian principles, you must always be mindful that it is Christ you represent, not yourself. The lessons must true to His Word, but must also be in the spirit of love and grace that is found in the Blood of Christ.
Also, in the church, as in the real world, there are proper ways to deal with situations that occur and there have been times when I have failed in that regards. No one is above God’s standards for dealing with each other.
While I ask for forgiveness for my actions that have hurt others or brought reproach upon the church, know that my commitment is to continue to provide lessons that I hope will strengthen and edify those who visit this site.
Thankfully, God forgives and forgets when Christians come to him with a penitent heart.
